Eyes closed, throned in gold, the sound of Om resting above his crown: this is Ganesha turned inward. He is first in every prayer because he is the threshold of sound itself; before any name of God is spoken, his is. Stillness like this is not emptiness. It is a door, held open. Sit with him a while and you will feel it.
