सूर्य | Some say the sun is one great fire, grandchild. The mosaic-makers know better. Look closely — he is a million little fires, a million tiles of gold, every house and every window catching its own piece of him. That is how he reaches everyone at once. He does not pick favourites. The palace and the mud yard both wake in the same light. His lotuses are in his hands. The seven horses run beneath. The dawn charioteer Aruna keeps the pace. Even his armour is a sun, set with little suns. He is the morning broken kindly into pieces.
